What new tasks and duties will IT operations teams have to undertake in the DevOps initiative?-III
IT operations professionals need to adapt their skills to the age of cloud technologies, agile applications and DevOps. Because software engineers have advanced considerably in IT processes such as procurement, container arrangement and configuration management to provide more value. This has enabled disciplines like SRE to be a guide for software engineers more than IT professionals:). Because their skills and experience are invaluable, it is imperative that IT operation-oriented individuals follow this path as well. In a world of cloud, containers and serverless technologies, operational skills will always remain essential.
New technologies do not override IT roles. But operating these technologies requires different roles and skills than those established when the entire IT infrastructure is built within the data center.
For IT professionals, product development colleagues and users to be productive, there must be experts who can understand the nuances of basic technology and the complexity attached to it.
